2008 State of the Industry Report
The 2008 State of the Industry Report includes information on current trends and important facts and figures relating to the workplace learning and development profession. The report includes information covering everything from the use of technology to the dollar amounts of investments made by companies in 2008.
Michael will spend a few minutes covering the CPLP certification. CPLP certification is a designation granted to individuals in the workplace learning and performance (WLP) profession who successfully pass two certification examinations and meet program requirements. The certification incorporates 9 areas of expertise.
A copy of the 2008 SOIR, which is usually sold for $180, will be given to each attendee.
Michael Sabbag
For over 22 years, Michael has worked with organizations helping them execute their strategy and achieve goals through more effective management and development of their people. This can involve a number of things including strategic planning, development of a performance management system, team building, coaching, action learning, and training.
Michael currently works at Learn.com. He is involved in talent management within the company, overseeing the consulting division, and helping evolve their software. He is also completing a book titled "Developing Exemplary Performance One Person at a Time" due out in May of 2009 and works with the National Advisors to Chapters (NAC) team for ASTD.
